As the administration begins to finalize the courses offered for next year, I think it is important to ensure that the courses students want to take are really being offered. This year, Dr. Akers was able to teach Psychology as an elective course. Many students have gained valuable information about the brain and human behavior from this course, but it will not be offered as a course for the 2016-2017 school year. Dr. Akers is interested in teaching Psychology (with an honors option) next year because it is in her expertise. I feel that this would be a very valuable addition to the school and help to guarantee that the course catalog is well-rounded. If you agree that Psychology should be brought back to Menlo, it would be much appreciated if you could sign my petition to demonstrate student interest. I will be following up with Mr. Schafer.
