The kids in Payson need this school to prepare for the major college coming into Payson soon. They need to remember what American leadership looks like through service in the community and exemplary teaching. Our boys are in scouting, one working on his Eagle. We will be moving to Payson from SoCal in the Fall 2017 and we are looking at educational options right now. If there are no other academically fulfilling options for youth leaders in rural communities, then Independant study will be their only option to accommodate each unique students personal goals. Please keep me posted on this progress.

I'm not satisfied being ranked low among AZ public schools. I want an option for my children.

Let Payson have a choice! It will create a healthy educational environment for our children.

I want my great-grandchild to have a better quality education in a safer environment than PUSD offers.

Charter schools provide a choice for parents and students and actually motivate public schools to improve.

I hope that my own kindergartner can attend the ALA Academy. It is nice that the Arizona is doing their part to pay for charter schools, the cost does not have to be raised through local property taxes. I believe that great schools are important to the local economy. More importantly, great schools can help prepare our young people for a good start in life.

Charter schools introduce the element of competition to the education industry. When it comes to developing the minds of our children, how can that possibly be a bad thing?

The most curious argument I hear against charter schools is that they take money away from the public schools. Seems to me that if a student leaves the public system to attend charter school, the money should follow the student. Education funding is for the student, not an entitlement for the school.

I not only want to enroll two of my children in ALA, but I also look forward to the opportunity to work there.

Love the school. It has been great in Gilbert and should be in Payson as well!
