We want to send a clear message to American Leadership Academy that this great charter school is wanted and needed in Payson, Arizona. There have been some negative voices trying to drive this school away from Payson, but there remains a large group of concerned families who want a better choice in their children's education.

I have been hearing from so many families who feel ignored by the current system and they are ready for a real change in how our children are taught. We are continuing to reach out to the leadership team at ALA because our town deserves the quality education they provide.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that many families here are craving a different path for their children. It feels good to know that parents across our town are finally finding a way to demand the academic standards we deserve.

I feel that ALA is the best choice for my daughters' education. We do not want to enroll in the public school and would consider homeschooling or almost any other alternative. Given all of the potential options, we feel like ALA embodies our values for our children and would be a perfect fit!!
The most curious argument I hear against charter schools is that they take money away from the public schools. Seems to me that if a student leaves the public system to attend charter school, the money should follow the student. Education funding is for the student, not an entitlement for the school.
I not only want to enroll two of my children in ALA, but I also look forward to the opportunity to work there.
I taught physics at the Payson High school for 10 years( 1996-2006), hopefully ALA will bring a full physics lab for the students. PHS has a carpeted classroom with chairs and tables, no lab stations or computers in the classroom.
I've been homeschooling for the past 3 years in Payson because there is no good fit for my child in the public schools. I would love the opportunity to have my child go to an amazing school.
The kids in Payson need this school to prepare for the major college coming into Payson soon. They need to remember what American leadership looks like through service in the community and exemplary teaching. Our boys are in scouting, one working on his Eagle. We will be moving to Payson from SoCal in the Fall 2017 and we are looking at educational options right now. If there are no other academically fulfilling options for youth leaders in rural communities, then Independant study will be their only option to accommodate each unique students personal goals. Please keep me posted on this progress.

My grandchildren in the valley are loving ALA in the valley. My daughter is so glad she found this school for her children. I would very much like to see this school in Payson so parents and children can have a choice.
