I was looking at the counter earlier and we are just hovering right under that hundred mark which is funny because I keep thinking about how much those new job openings would change things around here for so many people. If everyone who already signed just grabbed one person they know to add their name right now we would blast past this milestone before I even finish my coffee.

This corporation will invest close to $1 billion into this local economy and multiple new potential customers to Grand Island businesses..... seems like a no brainer
it would be a shame if we lose out on this deal and the project is built in either Tonawanda or Niagara Falls. We would still have the same traffic but miss out on the benefit for our community
As a Grand Island business, property owner, and tax payer I am in full support of the Amazon Distribution Center. This is a world class company that will benefit the people of the town and WNY in many ways. The positives far outweigh the negatives and the site is zoned for exactly this type of low impact light industrial development.
I say, Bring it onto this little rock. We need a stronger Tax Base to support our schools & keep the Tax's down. Like it or not, Amazon or not, This little rock has to grow & will grow. I don't hear any complaints about the acres of land and size of the buildings that keep growing on Staley Rd that Pharmaceutical company's own.
I am business in the island and I think the added value to schools and business is essential for our Survival and growth of the island. Especially after the Covid pause.
This is exactly what Grand Island needs. Please do not let the vocal minority ruin this tremendous opportunity for all of us. Have you seen what happened to New York City? Bet they wish they could get Amazon back. Bottom line is do you want vibrancy in your community (brought by growth and investment) or do you want continued economic stagnation? Approve this project and 1,000's of lives with it.

Just think of the increase in property taxes to help fund the schools on Grand Island - doe it really make any sense to turn this down ? When will another opportunity like this ever come about?
