During the NBA Finals, I saw commericals for the WNBA, making more fans get basketball all year long. Seeing that commercial made me think "Why isn't therea team in Philadelphia?" So then, I thought of starting this petition.

If there were to be a team name for this proposed Philadelphia team, it would be the Bell Ringers, because the Liberty Bell lis located in Philadelphia. For their home arena, it would be the 21,315 seat Wells Fargo Center in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, the same arena where the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, the NLL's Philadelphia Wings, AFL's Philadelphia Soul, and the Villanova University men's basketball team (secondary arena) and Temple University men's basketball team (secondary arena) plays at.Many WNBA teams play at NBA arenas, so this choice would be good. It was also the former secondary home of the AHL's now defunct Philadelphia Phantoms and the MISL's now defunct Philadelphia Kixxfrom 1996-2009. The Phantoms then moved up to Glens Falls, NY from 2009-2014 and will be moving to Allentown, PA, this fall. The Kixx moved to the Liacouras Center at Temple University from 2009-2011, and then became extinct in 2011.

The arenahas hosted many major events, such as:

1996 World Cup of Hockey1997 Stanley Cup Finals1998 United States Figure Skating Championships1998 NLL Championship1999 AHL All-Star Classic2000 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four2001 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament East Regional2001 NBA FinalsX Games VII, 20012002 NBA All-Star GameX Games VIII, 20022005 AHL Calder Cup Finals2006 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, 1st & 2nd roundsU.S. Olympic TeamTrials - Gymnastics, 20082009 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, 1st & 2nd rounds2010 Stanley Cup FinalsNCAA Men's Wrestling Championship, 20112013 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, 2nd & 3rd roundsNCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship, 2014

The crowds were very passionate, proud, and excited for these events, so they could be passionate, proud, and excited for this new team.

The next thing would be prices to see a single game and season tickets. Based on other WNBA teams, the price range would be from $11 (top level)-$250 (courtside). The fee range would be $5.30 (top level) to $13.50 (courtside). Fees are not present when using StubHub, the fan to fan ticket marketplaceof the Wells Fargo Center.Season tickets would be in the range of $198 (top level, $11 per game, 17 regular season home games total) to $4,500 (courtside, $250 per game, 17 regular season home games total).

The last thing about having this team is what time and days the team would play. The weeknight (sometimes weekend night) game times would be either 6:00 PM ET, 6:30 PM ET, 7:00 PM ET, 7:30 PM ET, or8:00 PM ET. Weekend daytime home games would be played at noon ET, 12:30 PM ET, 1:00 PM ET, 1:30 PM ET, or 2:00 PM ET. Weekend afternoons would beat 3:30 PM ET or 4:00 PM ET. Some WNBA teams would sometimes do "School Day Games/Camp Day Games/Buisnessperson Special" on weekdays, which start at 11:00 AM ET, 11:30 AM ET,noon ET, 12:30 PM ET, or 1:00 PM ET. The networks the the games would air on be Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and Comcast Network Philadelphia (the Sixers TV stations), while national broadcasts would beon NBA TV, ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2, as well as being streamed online at ESPN3.com. Local radio would be provided the 76ers radio station, 97.5 The Fanatic (WPEN-FM).

Let's see if we can get this team playing as early as 2016 and as late as 2017 or 2018.

However, there is another option, the Internet. You could send this to the Philadelphia 76ers and they could put a survey up on their website about the team.
