I go to college near Tulsa and wouldn't mind taking a trip to Kansas to go to a convention! I don't know why there isn't one in Kansas already.

It would be amazing to bring the convention closer. Considering the significance of Kansas in the series

I thought Misha Collins already indicated there was going to be a convention in Kansas City. But I can’t find it so I’m signing this petition and passing it on. Yes! We want it!

I agree with Tyler J. Emerson. Additional things to consider: (1) Charlie Bradbury is also a Kansas girl, clearly having spent her childhood in Topeka, (2) the band Kansas STILL lives in and plays shows in small venues in and around Lawrence, including in Topeka and Kansas City. Would not be a stretch to get them to play a Supernatural Con-cert in their hometown (and their namesake), and (3) even though it is traditionally off-limits to the public, Stull Cemetery is about 20 minutes between Lawrence and Topeka and the town has traditionally had issues with sightseers coming through on Halloween, but may be willing to do something that re-invents the town's mythology and makes it a place for enter-tourism instead of the macabre interest that most people stop through for nowadays. What true Supernatural fan WOULDN'T want to do a con where it all began, and where it all tends to end up?

I'd think that Creation would have a little more forethought. People travel from all over the WORLD every year to visit The Shire in New Zealand because it is where Lord of the Rings was shot. It's kind of ridiculous that they think people wouldn't travel from across the country to Lawrence for a con in the literal hometown of the show's heroes. As far as logistics, Lawrence is only 45 minutes from major airport MCI (Kansas City International) by taking I-70. Lawrence has a ridiculously awesome guest scene on Mass Street (where, incidentally, a scene for Supernatural was actually shot in the early seasons as an ode to the characters' origins), and it boasts being home to the University of Kansas which has not only tons of event venues, but also is the reason there are hotels and restaurants everywhere in town to support the thousands that come in each school year for various conferences and athletic events.

I wish that there was something more accessible to us Kansas people who love Supernatural, like me and my family, so I would love for this to happen. Plus, I've pretty much been to all the places they've been in Kansas in the show, so yeah.
