Great Idea. Dogs need socializing just as much if not more than us humans do, in my opinion. I recently lost my mother who's dogs were her world after the kids left the nest. I have them now and at 13 & 15 years old they miss so much more than I expected. It breaks my heart that I can't seem to make either of them content with life again. If we had a park close by where they could meet and mingle with other kanine companions I know it would cheer them both up immensely!! I strongly agree that there should be a dog park as dogs need friends too and they definitely need a space that we can safely let them off leash to run and get energy out.
