The lack of a bridge over the sea wall at Llanmadog is an act of sabotage to local interests.
As a National Trust member I think that it disgraceful the NT is prevaricating and failing to open up this old right of way. What the point of the NT if it does not support local communities and the local tourist industry?
It is more like the National Do Not Trust.

For 17 years the Swansea Harriers athletic club have promoted a multi-terrain race using the seawall. The re-routing of the race causes major logistical problems. Remedial work is essential to save our race.

Allowing the sea wall to stay breached means that a wonderful walk is cut through and rendered impassible. I thought access was important to the National Trust?

I hope the wall can be rebuılt to prevent the salt water contaminating the fresh water marsh.

We walked over to Whitford a few weeks ago, and noticed how the sea water had damaged plants and shrubs. A bridge would be great for walkers, but the sea wall/dam needs to be repaired.
