I have loved and travelled back and fourth to this country my whole life, I studied Spanish at university specifically to fufil my dream of living in Spain permanently and I don't think it's fair that now I have to live in limbo and fear about my future.

The government promised this, so has a moral obligation to follow through

A little care and compassion for those UK citizens living in EU would be appreciated . . . why not?

Please don't just ignor the Brits living in the EU especially pensioners, being a European citizen gave us so much freedom and you are taking it away, plus out pension and medical rights.

We have paid our contributions it’s cheaper for the NHS if we carry on receiving our medical in Spain if we have to return home it’s going to cost the UK a lot more money not only the NHS but we would get our heating allowance back which should never have been stopped in the first place Plus you’ll find a lot of pensioners need a top up so therefore claiming more benefits is cheaper to live in Spain but that is changing because of the very low exchange rate we are getting

I have had to accept many changes to my retirement plans (pension delayed over 5 years, declining exchange rate) but there may be a limit to long term residency in Spain if rights not protected. My children and grandchildren likely to face even greater hurdles in the future. All pain, no gain for Uk citizens.

We the expats of England and resident in Europe moved to the country of our choice with the blessing of our homelands and the government of the day, don’t let us down we made the move in good faith expecting our membership of the EU being permanent, and now we expect you the government to respect our rights and preserve the status we have had for the last 15 years, that’s in the case of me and my family in Spain, thank you...

Without reciprocal healthcare our( S1 that we have paid into all of our working lives in the UK will cease) Many of us have ongoing medical conditions so we would not be able to get private insurance even if we could afford it (Which on a basic state pension would prove impossible) We moved to Spain in good faith that this would be pai until death. If health care is not reciprocated then the UK owes us money what we have paid in.
