Breast Cancer Survivors want change to new shocking policy

Please reverse this extremely unfair decision. The additional financial stress for cancer sufferers and survivors would add an unnecessary burden to an already heartbreaking situation.

Every effort should be made and funds made available to make things as easy as possible for people going through so much.

I think the prices for the mastectomy bras and wigs are are extortionate, maybe taper this but definitely not change it.

I am the big sister of my beautiful survivor little sister. We have been fighting the injustice of the system for years it's a disgrace. The lack of information and the completely unfair issue of your postal code as to whether you get a full allowance or not just does not make sense. We really need to push this issue and get our voices heard for all our beautiful strong survivors xx

I truely believe these cuts are not necessary and a cruel attack on women at their most vuneraable. Save money by running our services efficiently not cutting the services provided .

These proposed cuts if not opposed are going to send us back to a time when what the medical card supplies is an inferior product and service. Definitely not helpful for women trying to rebuild their confidence, health and self image following Breast surgery and cancer treatment. While equality of access to services across the country had finally been addressed and is welcomed, we do not welcome a reduction of allowances to the lowest in the Country within both categories of wigs and Breastcare products. Please help these women as they go through enough fighting cancer

This is about the only small bit of help we as a family get for my mom who has had a full mascetomy on one side and a partial on the other side. In the last 7 years my mom has had cancer three times and is now also being monitored due to negative colonoscopy screening. We have to spend a fortune on medical care medication and other aspects of her care and the only small bit of state support they want to take away. I am furious.

Please do not punish the vulnerable

This is a disgusting decision .

Shocking endemic persistent mismanagement in the HSE for decades. HSE solution? To punish the vulnerable. This new policy is disgusting. Hang your heads in shame.

This is absurd and will be a false economy for the state, women who have undergone mastectomy require a professionally fitted specialist bra, if they don't get it, it can lead to complications and health complaints that will cost the state more in the long run.
