After seeing my sister and my best friend going through breastfeeding cancer and the hell women go through with treatment I can't believe what the government are trying to make it even harder.

I've signed this position to stop this from happening. Having been through chemotherapy I chose not to wear a wig, the hardships people face with a diagnosis like this. A wig or any of the medical devices needed by cancer patients are not luxury items. Please sign and share

It was only MEdical card holders who got these, A good quality wig costs at least €500.
It is disgraceful that any patient should have to pay for these and prosthesis. Haven't they gone through enough, with chemotherapy.
My best friend died from Breast Cancer, her wigs were enormously expensive - she had a free one when she became terminal - that means she would die of the disease. Is not having the money to buy a wig the fate of all terminal patients now? Disgraceful

This is a disgraceful attack on people at their most vulnerable time in life!
I know from personal experience how cancer impacts people financially.
Reverse the proposed policy change now!

No woman should be in financial ruin because she has a life threatening illness and the treatment will leave her scarred, bald. Reconstructive surgery, wigs and false boobs should be provided free. And her drugs,treatment and hospital stay should be free too.
