Nós, alunos e ex-alunos da Udacity Brasil, fomos pegos de surpresa com a decisão tomada na última quarta-feira (28/Nov) pela sede americana: fechar o escritório Brasileiro. Como informado em nota oficial, a cada cinco estudantes da Udacity no mundo, um é brasileiro. Portanto existe uma demanda no país e é difícil justificar a fundamentação de tal decisão. Somos 20% dos alunos da Udacity e merecemos respeito.
Nos ajude com este abaixo assinado que será enviado à sede para a reconsideração de tal decisão. Sem a Udacity Brasil, futuros alunos não terão:
- Projetos em português
- Revisão de projetos em português
- Nomeação de projetos para empresas parceiras
- Hackatons em parceria com empresas locais (como Nubank e Ambev)
- Live codings gravados
- Slack com mentoria em português
- Canal do Slack com vagas de trabalho no Brasil
- Mentoria via whatsapp
- Mentoria via chamada 1:1
Além disso, o preço dos nanodegrees passará a ser em dólar e não teremos acesso aos preços diferenciados fornecidos pela Udacity Brasil. Nos ajude a divulgar com o máximo de pessoas para continuar levando os melhores cursos aos brasileiros.

We, current students and alumni students of different nanodegrees from Udacity Brasil, were taken by surprise with the decision made in the last Wednesday by the American headquarters of Udacity: to close the Brazilian office. As reported in an official note, for every five Udacity students in the world, one is Brazilian. Therefore there is a demand in the country and it is hard to understand the reasoning behind shutting down the local office. We are 20% of Udacity students and deserve respect.
Please help us with this undersigned that will be sent to the headquarters for their reconsideration in such decision. Without Udacity Brasil, future students will not have:
- Projects in Portuguese
- Review of projects in Portuguese
- Nomination of projects for partner companies
- Hackathon in partnership with local companies
- Live coding sections
- Mentoring in Portuguese via slack
- Whatsapp mentoring
- 1 to 1 mentoring calls
In addition, the price of nanodegrees will be in dollars and we will not have access to the differentiated prices provided by Udacity Brasil. Help us to spread the word with as many people as possible to so that Brazilians continue having access to the best courses.

Udacity corporate leadership thinks they can cut us loose without a fight because we are just numbers on a spreadsheet to them. We are approaching 500 signatures and we need to hit that mark immediately to show them this backlash is real and growing. Get this link in front of every student you know right now.

Nossa eu tava planejando fechar o nanodegree mês que vem mas com o preço em dolar fica impossivel. Espero que eles repensem isso logo
sem suporte em pt nem vale a pena. o diferencial era justamente a proximidade com o mercado local. muita sacanagem isso
muito desapontado. a qualidade do suporte em portugues era o que chamava atenção, agora vai ficar tudo muito mais difícil pra quem não tem inglês fluente
Absurdo isso!! O Brasil é um mercado enorme pra eles e eles simplesmente ignoram a gente assim. Falta de respeito total com quem investiu dinheiro e tempo aqui.
