We had to buy or have our family buy our grad caps and gowns, they're our property and we worked hard to graduate. As long as it's appropriate there's no reason why we can't decorate them :/

I'm gonna make a PowerPoint and will use all the skills I have acquired to push this to the limits. I'd rather decorate my cap than walk tbh

Let the kids have some fun!!! Decorate with what you next step in life is. As in teacher/dentist school.

I'm about to be a senior at Arizona State University. Being able to wear my decorated grad cap amongst other sparkling graduate's caps filled me with pride. We did it. We were able to see what was ahead for everyone we grew up with. I still remember how much I loved wearing my grad cap. Allowing the students to take pride in the next step of their future is so important. We should always encourage success and praise those who've achieved acceptance to higher education. It's an amazing event to graduate and if I couldn't decorate my senior cap next year, I'd most certainly be disappointed that I wouldn't be able to see what was next for such incredible adults as that chapter of my life closes.

This small act of decorating our caps ultimately means a whole lot more to us seniors. We get to show pride in the college we are heading towards. We get to show how our hard work paid off. My older brother (who also attended Branham) rocked his grad cap for De Anza college last year. It was special for me to spot him from the crowd during graduation. Please let me take pride in my college, UCLA.

This is really unfair to the class of 2016. We have worked so hard all 4 years for this, and we deserve to be able to put some rhinestones on a cap. Please let us take pride in where are going next year, thank you.

I made this petition, so it goes without saying that I totally agree! I have worked extremely hard all four years of high school and will be attending UC Berkeley in the fall. I can honestly say that I am so proud of everything I have done to get my spot at a top university in the world. I would love my grad photos to reflect that- both the hard work that I have put in and the future I have awaiting me.
