We, the undersigned, request that:
Telus extend a cable service capable of providing a TV, internet and phone package, from the hamlet of Bragg Creek, along the recently re-paved TWP 232, to all the potential customers in west Bragg Creek.
In a recent communication (TELUS Home Services Case ID 15742346 ), Telus indicated that they would like to guage the level of public interest before deciding whether to plan for this.
This petition is an attempt to demonstrate that level.
I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by how many neighbors have added their names to this request. It is truly your willingness to show up that has turned this from a quiet hope into something that companies simply cannot ignore.

Hard to purchase property in todays market without internet options for those that work from home. If this area is to expand the first provider to do so will eventually pay itself out over time.

The only current option, Xplornet, is terribly slow and unreliable. Internet gaming is only a wishful dream. Same thing with streaming services like Netflix. I would be willing to sign up immediately to a long-term contract for decent service

As a Telus land-line customer and small business owner, I would immediately subscribe to a robust and secure High Speed Internet solution.

I made a lot of online friends while I was living overseas. These days hanging out virtually with my friends in Singapore and Japan is rough, because I tend to get frequent disconnects and latency spikes. I'd give a great deal for real reliable service.

We have no cell service and rely on satellite internet. The service is intermittent and we'd love to have a stable high speed connection available.

Telus has accepted money from the Federal Government Universal Broadband Fund to provide service to Bragg Creek. They'd better do it right the first time and get the fibre installed. No screwing around with ancient DSL and copper.
