SUPPORT CROSS COUNTRY SKIING AT BRAEMAR PARK WITH SNOWMAKING

As an assistant cross country ski coach, I am very excited that there would be another place to practice for the large community of high school skiers. This is so important as now we only have 2 reliable snowmaking trails and they cannot handle the number of students that want to ski.

Would be a valuable resource to the City of Edina and area high schools to have a ski venue. Would be supporting and active, outdoor lifestyle for our youth.

We would love to see Edina continue to be a leader in providing places for active healthy families to enjoy outdoor recreation together by providing this year-round trail with winter snowmaking. We've gladly supported facilities for every kind of recreation; this is a great chance to support this popular, growing, life-long winter sport, with trails residents can use year-round.

Our family would use Nordic Ski Trails at least once a week . This would be a great benefit for the entire community.

Living in Edina right now, I think this would be huge for both the community and for the Twin Cities area as a whole! I would use this at least a few times a week.

Nordic skiing is a lifelong activity that can be embraced and enjoyed by Edina residents of all ages and abilities. The ski trails at Braemar will provide convenient access to a resource that will help to promote and build healthy and active lifestyles among our residents. I strongly support the proposal for nordic ski trails at Braemar with snow making capabilities.

A tremendous asset that will increase property values and attract young active families to Edina.

Congratulations for Edina to take the lead on a new nordic ski area - I wish the East Metro had something like this! I already drive to Hyland too much, and would definitly make use of this as well.

As a former member of the U.S. Nordic Ski Team and resident of Edina, I believe we have a unique opportunity to support this great life-long outdoor activity in our community. Would we question this project if it were in support of our hockey programs? I love hockey but love hiking, running and Nordic skiing too. Let's find a way to set aside our differences and make this work in our community.

We need more ski trails.

The City of Edina needs to make the Breamar park land available to a variety of uses.

I support adding XC Skiing to extend use of this wonderful venue to the winter.

The ski trails and tubing hill are much-needed and will complete the winter activity options available in Edina which will appeal to a broader base of residents. I am excited at the possibility of having a non hockey /ice skating winter activity available locally without having to travel to Minneapolis or surrounding suburbs.

I fully support this as a wonderful addition to the outdoor activities many Minnesotans enjoy in the winter.

Great use of existing underutilized real estate resource. Nordic skiing is a life long sport to enjoy what winter throws at us.
