Overpass at the Train Tracks at Bradley Avenue & Pond Mills Road
Bradley Avenue is a major road in South London. It serves as a direct link from Highbury Avenue to White Oaks Mall and Wellington Road. Bradley Avenue is an integral part of many commutes, especially from St. Thomas into downtown London, and from Southeast London to central areas. The railroad tracks which cross Bradley Ave, just west of Pond Mills Road, host cargo trains, which come frequently, up to 3 times a day, and last as long as 10 minutes due to the slow speed the train must travel at. Not only does this cause significant idling, but it impedes commuter travel, sometimes at the busiest hours of the day. A vehicular and pedestrian overpass would greatly benefit the area, and help to move traffic easier through the south east end.
