Stop The Bradford Factor Sicness Recording Method From Being Used In The NHS

I triggered the Bradford last year following a broken wrist. Although this was caused by a chronic condition and I was struggling to dress myself, let alone work, I still had to have an informal interview and received a letter threatening me with escalation if my record didn't improve. The Bradford Factor treats people as if they're skiving when they have genuine reasons for being off work.

I was grieving loss of my mother and they can't even record bereavement as it's not on their drop down menu for list of absences!

Its wrong, punitive, puts you under undue stress and factors in nothing human or personal about an employees circumstances. It might as well be monitored and administrated by a computer algorithm such is its lack of ability to record a persons real sickness.

A much needed service that we must all be thankful for but at the same time needs improvement in all faulted areas.

I am a migraine sufferer, I am under constant review because of this. single days off make your sick score very high! It's an unfair system to people with genuine illnesses.

Bradford scoring is a way for businesses to bully their employees.

Where do these numbers come from and how are they calculated? A bullying system in my opinion. People who work in the Nhs are prone to catching all sorts of viruses & diseases as they are in contact with the general public more than 30 hours per week. Get rid of it!!!
