Not wait for a serious accident to happen!

Dangerous intersection due to taxi lawlessness and traffic light signal changing time bottle jamming traffic

If only the traffic police could be visible at the traffic lights. Getting more dangerous every day. Only a matter of time before someone is killed there. The taxi’s drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid traffic. They go through red lights and just place no value on life or property.

Taxis going straight in turning lanes when straight robot is red; taxis going through red robots exceeding the speed limit - must a school child get killed first before something is done?

Time is running out before we have a major catastrophe at this intersection.

My kids went to the international school and everyday I would see a taxi skip the lights.. even when the lights were green for me to leave the school i would have to check to make sure a car wasn’t going to smash into me because they’ve decided not to stop at the red lights. Something needs to be done ASAP

Urgently needed. Serious accident waiting to happen if the taxis continue to overtake into oncoming traffic

It is causing major traffic congestion as well as the traffic circle at the IY & police station entrance since people dont know how to use the zebra crossing

There should be a theee phase light tonprevent unnecessary wait times when there’s no cars at the green lights, and those yellow poles to prevent taxi’s from using the turning lane to overtake traffic to push to the front of the queue

Seen taxis ignore these lights on many ocasions!!

Law without adequate policing, is a slow downward spiral towards failed nation status.

I now avoid this hazardous intersection and drive a longer route, just to be safe.

Anything that makes the community safer for everyone

Need a circle

It has become a competition for taxi's and cockroaches to over take as many cars at this intersection. Let's attend to problem before major casualties happen.

This intersection is a disaster waiting to happen, due to vehicles continuously jumping the red robots never mind that the entrance to a school is at those robots. Do we need to wait for 3 learners to be killed like what happened in Durban before drastic action is taken!!! Wake up CoCT!

As a long standing resident of Houtbay I feel these traffic lights and others in the bay were silly additions. It slows down traffic. Have one lane and a traffic circle as I believe that will keep these lawless thugs in tow to some degree. Infact get the thugs off the road and allow the law abiding people to stay safe. Its not only taxis who dont obey the law. Its many others as well.

It’s a matter of time before an accident happens with taxis pushing in or overtaking oncoming traffic. A circle may rectify the backed up traffic as it flows Percocet when traffic lights are down.

Fix it. The taxis are going to kill one of our children soon!!
