My name is Nick Casali and I am a Childhood Studies Major at Plymouth State University. Every single day children of all ages are bullied and picked on. Many people around the country are recognizing this and many different movements have been created to stop bullying in schools. However, there are many people who disagree with this movement and that's where you may hear the statement "Boys will be boys". This is meant as a way to say that boys will always do this and it is just in a child's nature. Other people believe that these kid's just need to suck it up and deal with what is happening to them. This is not meant to say that only boys go through this problem. "kids will be kids" is a better way to explain this situation, because girls bully other girls very often as well. I am looking for the phrase " Boys will be boys" to be eliminated, to show how much bullying in schools is a very large problem, and that this sad excuse will not cut it anymore.
