Two and a Half Men is a show which not only has millions of viewers, but has a level of popularity which translates to be a huge cash cow for CBS. On February 24, 2011, CBS suspended production of the show as a result of a radio interview in which star Charlie Sheen made some very unflattering comments about show creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre.

Here's the bottom line: Shutting down production is serving no useful purpose. It is not only hurting the fans by depriving them of a very entertaining sitcom, it is depriving many crew members of the pay they rightfully deserve. In addition, Charlie Sheen and the rest of the cast deserve to be paid for what their respective contracts indicated would be paid.

According to USA Today: "There's a strong likelihood that Two and a Half Men will never be back, putting fellow cast and crewmembers out of work and costing producers Warner Bros. Television tens of millions of dollars." And, of course, CBS is likely to lose a tremendous amount of money due to this suspension. So, it's hard to call this cessation of production anything but foolhardy. We believe the best solution for all concerned (even CBS) is to resume production of the show. We have nothing against CBS; we only want our voices to be heard and not ignored.

We all know how people's egos can be bruised from time to time and we don't expect everyone to "kiss and make up." But, we do expect shows that we have come to enjoy not be abruptly halted due to petty differences. And we fans won't take this lying down.

We, the signers on this petition, due hereby give notice to CBS that, effective immediately, we will boycott watching all Monday night programming on CBS until production resumes on Two and a Half Men and until Charlie Sheen is reinstated on that show in the role of "Charlie Harper."
