Health Insurance is a RIGHT, not a privilege. All Trader employees who worked 17 to 30 hours a week WERE offered health insurance. Trader Joe's will be eliminating health insurance benefits for all those employees who work less than 30 hours a week starting January 1, 2014!! This is a travesty. Many of these employees are students over the age of 26 and/or have families they need to insure. Trader Joe's can well afford to continue these employee benefits. The Executives want more money for their pockets at the expense of their excellent hard working employees!! Trader Joe's will not get my business if they plan to take away an American right to health insurance. I hope you feel the same and will boycott Trader Joe's.
