In this link you can clearly see the obvious money pandering that's been thrown out for us to lap up like morons. Pre-ordering games and the idea of DLC at launch is something that's been around for far too long. It's impossible to see an honest market when tactics like this are implemented by various sources simply to exploit the consumer. We have to stand together and say that enough is enough.

When these companies strive to end things like digital theft (piracy) but on the same hand decide to not fully release a game at launch so that you can pay money MONTHS in advance to help a title launch that doesn't have the full content on the first day of availability, it's disgusting. More repulsive is the issue brought to light in this video - that being they want you to, "burn some extra dough" on what's advertised as an ATM hack bonus and an extra mission. So not only are they not releasing information on what exactly this mission will entail, essentially they want you to pre-order their game so that you may receive this content in the game for free.

The issue here, however, is that this DLC will no doubt be added post-release for a, "small fee" of some kind. Essentially this is a micro-transaction all in one, but the trailer is here to show us just how corrupt the gaming industry can be. They want YOU the CONSUMER to buy this game before the finished product is out. They want to guarantee release and then push production back. I remember this game was supposed to come out as early as November 2013, and here we are in May with the release finally about to happen. This is the biggest money-ploy I've seen from Ubisoft in quite some time. Should we, the people funding these products, allow this to continue on and not make a stand here at one of the biggest gaming released in 2014 what will stop this from happening? When developers hold out small pieces of the game that may not seem like a big deal to you, but I find that when people use these petty tactics their only concern is the bigger picture. We have to make a stand now or else the future will be very bleak. This has to stop, this game may have potential but when developers use underhanded, greed-filled opportunism like this somebody has to put their hand up and say no more.

By signing this you say that not only will you not buy Watchdogs, you will also refuse to support Gamestop as well, and any game that wishes you to Pre-Order for "bonus content" because you see what it really is, extra content that you're being screwed out of. If you want to allow things like this to be made then you need to stand up, cancel your order, and move on to reputable companies that don't ask for hand-outs on content that you deserve in the first place.

DLC is NOT okay. It's time someone spoke out about it.
