ok, to the person who said that some people don’t have friends well, don’t you think not having an “escape” for their loneliness worse than being alone..like if you don’t have friends and you don’t have anything to keep your “distracted”?

Watch all the students gather in the toilet during break time to play their phones. Unfortunately banning phones will just make students learn to be more sneaky. so whats the point

unfortunately some of us dont have friends to connect with during lunch or break time, we sit infront of the class waiting til break ends. having our gadgets will save us our sorrow of being lonely and we could use it to be more productive such as studying for time trials doing exta classwork.

We could limit the use of our gadget, but not completely ban it

its a bit too dramatic plus the action of a few students shouldn't be categorized as the action of all

This ban seams kind of unfair. At a time and age where technology has become a staple of our daily lives it’s hard to ban something so important. Keep in mind that we don’t use our phones in class and our only chances for using it are during break and lunch. Not to mention that the letter the school gave completely generalizes the whole student body as nothing but phone addicts to the point where they don’t interact with each other. More often than not it’s the opposite. There are plenty of times where I can hear secondary students outside my class having fun and chatting during break and lunch and I don’t think I see the cafeteria being quieter than usual, in fact it’s louder than before. I also sense a double standard because since the school trusts the JC with their devices why don’t they trust the sec 4s? What if the sec 4s also want to access past papers online? So overall this ban is useless and needs to be revoked.
