I do hope they sack this person and also train their other staff that this is not acceptable under any circumstance. If he has not been sacked then the whole board needs to resign and with shame. The world is watching your response Mysore.

i would like to see the keeper removed from this zoo and not work with animals. he is not capable of caring regarding their welfare. if this keeper is to work with animals then its times to close all zoos that emply this kind of keeper

Torturing babies is pure evil. I cannot think of anything worse than violent beatings and life prisons for sweet baby elephants to traumatize them for life. From the words of Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, "There is no worse punishment that we humans give our own wrong-doers than life imprisonment, and to force elephants into life imprisonment. Consider this – the worst punishment we humans give one another for the worst crime possible is life imprisonment. Is it therefore correct to imprison an innocent elephant for life and worse still, to force captive elephants to breed in captivity? There is nothing educational or inspirational in seeing a miserable captive elephant kept in cramped conditions that ultimately cost it its life, inflicting pain through arthritic and joint ailments. Keeping an elephant in captivity can be likened to keeping a human in a cupboard for life."

the beating of the elephants is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Those images will haunt me. Have a heart and take off your blinders.

so why are you allowing such cruelty? your zoo has a terrible reputation. there is lits of evidence of torture and cruelty to the animals. WAKE UP!!!!! it is 2014, the internet is showing the world the evidence of your cruelty and the world is watching

Please stop!!! Elephants are magnificent beings, they have feelings! They deserve our respect and care!
