Keep exams online

With regard to the most recent news in Kerala, which revealed that around 192 students of class 10 were tested positive due to the reopening of schools, we therefore feel uncomfortable in sending the students to school to attend their exam. Our concerns aren't being acknowledged by the staff and management; needless to say the information of consent provided by the school seems very vague and unconvincing. Moreover, this was announced on such short notice, that many families aren't able to arrange for transportation. Approximately a month ago, we were informed that the examination would be conducted on an online platform, therefore it isn't reasonable to expect us to follow the instruction within a short period of time. It would be much appreciated if arrangements are made once we get the vaccine and get more confident in sending our wards to schools, instead of using the example of the students of 10th grade who are currently attending schools since they need to prepare for an extremely crucial examination. Thanking you.

I'm Deepa ,parent of Aryan & Avanthika of grade 9 B. Our kids have very low immunity. So we are following covid-19 precautions very strictly . We got the information from entrar that the school will be functioning for exams. We are not at all happy with the consent form. We are sending our kids to school on trust developed over the years on school. But as per the consent form the school is not showing any responsibility towards the wards. At this scenario both parents and school should equally responsible for the health of the children. So we are not ready to send our kids to school for offline exams. We prefer to have online exams. Thankyou

It is very risky to attend offline exams right now and if the school wishes to conduct it then consent form shoudnt be signed and school should take all responsibility and not parents .. cabs are very risky too to travel in .. if something happens there.. school must take the responsibility again .. we woudnt sign consent if school doesnt take responsibility of all the above .. it is very risky right now to send the children Humble request

Attending school right now is a very bad idea because we have 60 % chance of getting corona virus and it was by the school it is not their responsibility if we get corona virus. They informed us too late so it is not possible to attend school so please keep the exams online.

A month ago it was declared that the final exams will be held online, considering this decision. I and my family who are not in Bangalore booked our flight tickets to Bangalore. Now for me to attend the exams offline, we will have to cancel our tickets (with getting no refund from the airline), then rebooking the flight tickets (at a much higher cost). And not to mention travelling just before the exams is going to have a major impact on my preparations. The school management has taken this decision without considering the situation of any of us. None of us is ready for offline exams since this entire year we have had online classes. Adapting to this decision on such short notice is going to be extremely difficult. Along with that not to forget, the risk of covid is still there. Students have travelled across the country and might be a carrier of the virus. So until we all are vaccinated, coming to school to write offline exams is a big risk.

The school is mandating students of grade 11 to attend the final exams. It is a well known fact that the current situation is just as risky as the one we found ourselves in, 9 months ago. The school has posted a consent form on Entrar, making it seem as though the school will be unwilling to be liable and it putting the blame on parents. It is ironical that the school is mandating and compelling us to go back to school and will most certainly back out of it, should something happen. Also, it is impossible to wear a mask in an exam hall for 3+ hours... It is unsafe and irresponsible on the school's part to "experiment" on us. The govt. directive mentions that attendance is voluntary.

As there are hardly 10 days left for the exams it is nearly impossible to shift to a different location and it takes almost 2hrs from my home to travel to school even if I come back to bangalore. The school previously told the exams are online so we thought of postponing the shifting process. Travelling for so long during the exam sounds truly tiring.

I am currently in Rajasthan and all of sudden the school has changed the mode of examination and it is not possible to shift to bangalore in 10 days. It is risky to travel for me and for others children. School is not providing bus transport. So, please I request keep the exam online.

understand that mental pressure exists.. by suddenly announcing exams offline it has just increased pressure mentally.. even if we know the concepts, we won't be able to pen it down completely due to different things and issues which will be going on In our minds.. please make the exams online. you can impose stricter rules regarding it.

With due respect, Many of us are currently stuck outstation due to various obligations. Giving just a two week prior notice is quite irresponsible . Provided that moving would cause a lot of distress in exam preparation as well. Transportation to and especially FROM school is a very big hassle, as you barely get OLA from there, including the involved risks. Just a month ago they said on entrar that the exams would be online. This sudden 'offline' instruction came out of nowhere and it is highly unreasonable to expect us to follow this instruction on such sudden notice. My parents are not keen on sending me to school before getting the vaccination as well. We understand your decision on wanting to bring forth normalcy to our school routines, however, please do give enough time to prepare ourselves and be vaccinated of course. Please understand our side of the story as well. Much thanks.

Transportation is a big issue. And the consent sent by the school that states that the school will hold no responsibility if anything happens to the child.

The school is forcing us to attend offline classes though the government has made it optional. WE NEED TIME TO ADAPT !!! It would be better for everyone is the offline school starts from next academic year . THIS DECSION OF STARTING OFFLINE CLASSES WAS SUDDEN AND STUDENTS DIDNT GET TIME TO PROCESS IT . A month ago we were told that the exams would be conducted ONLINE and now out of nowhere its going to be offline . ITS not safe for children .

we have been forced into offline exams, although all these months we were studying in the online mode. offline exams are risky and the sudden change in the mode of exam will make it hard for us.
