The NRA has a loyal following of people determined to turn the United States back into the Wild West. As a resident of Texas, I am subjected to fear driven citizens who are legally allowed to open carry guns. Business after business after business in Texas has said, NO OPEN CARRY IN OUR PLACE OF BUSINESS. It’s time to implement the power of consumerism and make it a bad idea to sell assault rifles, automatic weapons and hopefully, guns in general. According to this Pew Research article http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2013/06/04/a-... gun ownership is only 37% of the population. The MINORITY is ruling this debate. Exactly opposite of the intention of the constitution. Most Americans don't like guns. This also points to, that those who own guns, have a LOT of them, which points to a paranoid view of reality. We salute California for enacting a law that allows the community to ask authorities to forcibly remove guns from those that are a perceived threat. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/dec/29/california-gun-violence-restraining-order-law-goin/ Anyone with an arsenal of guns, is a threat to our peaceful society.

By signing this petition, you pledge to not shop at any store that sells assault weapons and/or automatic weapons until they remove them from their shelves. This petition was founded in Texas, so some Texas businesses are listed, however please list all that you know when you sign the petition. It’s time for the majority to have a voice in the gun debate and fingers crossed, this petition will band people together to remove these weapons of mass destruction from our society.
