Hello! My name is Tyler Vencill, I'm a 13 year old boy who would like to play volleyball for Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School For Innovation. However there is only a girls team. I went to camp and was told that I cannot try out. There is no male team though so I would like to think that they would have to let me tryout... Since I cheerleaded competively for the school as the only male cheerleader, I'd like to think they wouldn't mind. So anyways support me through this by signing this petition please!

The feedback from the community continues to reinforce the importance of fair access to extracurricular activities. Discussions with school administration are ongoing as I seek a clear explanation for the current policy.

The momentum behind this request for inclusion has grown beyond my initial expectations. It is encouraging to see so many people acknowledge that a student should have the opportunity to participate in school athletics.

I think you should be allowed to tryout and play volleyball with us. Your really good and deserve a spot.
I believe that anyone of any gender that wishes to participate in any sport should be able to regardless Of whoever they are

The only way o can see you getting a spot is if they made it a mixed gender volleyball team. I can't see any other way for you to play because it's strictly girls volleyball but if the made it a mixed gender team it would be fair to let you play. The main reason for it is not what they told you about the net that's a bunch of bs it's because now that your getting older testosterone is kicking in and they don't want you to hurt anyone
