The author of this petition and also its supporters hereby make following statements: 1) The current generation of the Xbox (that is the Xbox 360) needs to get HUGE reliability upgrades. The failure rates of the Xbox 360 are enormous. It is astonishing that for example taller feet help the Xbox cool down way better than the factory ones, a cheap fix. It is astonishing, that the cooling system is so outrageously underpowered. It is unacceptable, that when turning on the Xbox 360 or playing it in general, you cannot stop thinking of terms like ROD, E74 & Co. (This hinders your gaming pleasure) 2) PLEASE STOP SOLDERING PARTS ON THE MAINBOARD AT TOO LOW TEMPERATURES. Or find some way to use lead again for soldering processes, if you fear damaging chips at those temperatures. (There are semi-professional fixers on eBay, who will reball your parts with broken solder points. They do the job right! Proper soldering please!) 3) The next generation of the Xbox NEEDS to have a TREMENDOUS reliability to gain costumer trust again. Don't build your consoles for the lifetime of a warranty circle. Build them like good old N64's, that I still play on. Or like the classic Xbox. RELIABILITY IS A KEY FACTOR. Especially if your consoles get older with you and you become retro with them. Please keep in mind, Microsoft, every current Gamer is a potential RETRO GAMER tomorrow. A retro Gamer, who is happy about his then old school console will be a liklier adopter of future generations of Microsoft consoles. 4) A console's dimensions are less important than it's cooling system. I mean, look into that thing. It has the least developed cooling techniques for a system that is SO powerful. The Xbox 360 generates heat like a radiator!

5)Repairs need to be a lot cheaper and quicker! People waiting 8 weeks to get their Xbox 360 fixed for a price that makes you consider just buying a new one - or maybe a PS3 or Wii right away. (That is, your console is out of warranty, or the problem is not covered by warranty, but enough consoles break after warranty time!)

Please, Microsoft, keep these points in mind for the next generation of your console & revise your current generation.
