We, the undersigned, who include patients, scientists, health care providers and supporters of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network from across the great state of California, implore you, Senator Boxer, to co-sponsor S.62 - The Pancreatic Cancer Research & Education Act. 

Pancreatic Cancer is one of the most deadly forms of cancer. Approximately 40,000 Americans and 4,000 Californians are diagnosed with the disease each year. 75% of those patients die within 1yr of diagnosis and 94% die within 5 years. 

Senator Boxer, help change these statistics by co-sponsoring and championing the Pancreatic Cancer Research & Education Act with its 4 key components: 
- Developing a Strategic Plan for Pancreatic Cancer Research 
- Establishing a Cancer Research Incubator Pilot Project for the Deadly Cancers 
- Strengthening and Expanding Centers of Excellence for Pancreatic Cancer 
- Promoting Physician and Public Awareness
