Young people are always faced with negative publicity from the media, however talented, skilled and determined young people from the Bournemouth and surrounding area's have found an urban sport unlike any other in which we believe our local government should be supporting, in order to create new positive publicity for it's local young people.

Parkour and Free-Running can be dangerous just like any other sport and requires a high level of intense training. Therefore we believe a good way to support young people in their ambition to take this sport to a new level would be for Bournemouth Council to provide a safe environment in which young people of all ages can train and develop their skills.

There are many youth work facilities that already support young people in this sport however, training area's have always been an issue and with the Olympics hitting London and the Government's plan's to support and raise the profile of sport and healthy lifestyles surely this is a great opportunity for our local government to support the new talent of young people.

So please support are aim to introduce a parkour and free-running park to the Bournemouth area!

Finally somewhere to train that isnt a brick wall or private property. kids need somewhere safe to practice this stuff.

Great idea. Keep the kids active and off the streets while they learn some actual skills.

My son is always out doing this stuff and I worry he is gonna get hurt or in trouble. A park would be perfect.

About time. Bournemouth is way behind on stuff like this. Stop treating us like delinquents and give us a place to go.

Seen these guys training near the shops and they are actually really talented. Proper facility would be sick.
