Over crowding is also an issue. It takes months to get a test spot.

As driving instructor living in Bournemouth I would like to see driving test centre in area, so we would to keep making our pupils happy and cost effective.

I’m disabled and struggle with moving to and from the car for my lesson. I struggle with two hour lessons. And Living so far away from Poole I find that when I driven to Poole I can’t do anymore. So struggle to learn test routes and get a lesson in. With bournmouth test centre I was Managing to get more lesson time in before I had to stop and couldn’t drive anymore. Bournmouth is there only way I will properly pass. As I’m ready but Poole is to far away.

Poole Driving Test Centre is just so far from where I live in Bournemouth (Christchurch side). Learners have to practice where they are going to take their test, this will just take so long to even reach and cost so much more in lessons! How can a town the size of Bournemouth not have it's own Driving Test Centre??

I have been staying in the Christchurch and Lymington areas teaching young drivers and have been using Maybush but Bournemouth was a much better site. Especially when the Boat Show was on and the upgrade of the Millbrook and Redbridge flyovers took over 6 months. Now the upgrade of the M27 and M271 junction is in progress, the additional traffic around the Docks will make those roads hell. Move Maybush and Bournemouth new sites or a joint site near Christchurch or Ringwood.

As an ADI I know the costs involved for pupils, and this seems a totally ridiculous decision to close Bournemouth and have people waiting longer and having more test day stress

I live in Christchurch so this will add at least two hours cost onto the cost of a driving test. Also, having only one test centre will mean longer waits for a test date.

The amount of driving lessons needed and the amount of driving lessons needed to cover the Poole area before the test has gone up dramatically for all of us in the Christchurch, Highcliffe and New Milton areas, and with Southampton being even further away there is no other alternatives - it is costing us out of learning to drive.

Horrible decision to permanently close down the Bournemouth centre! This would cause so many complications. Instead of refurbishing and also causing havoc in Poole, refurbishing should be done in Bournemouth instead. Avoiding the additional travel costs and time must also be considered!!

Bournemouth test centre is a very popular centre. To go to Poole, incurs so much more costs for everyone? Already expensive enough to learn to drive, without losing Bournemouth.

The driving test centre in Bournemouth was the reason I became a driving instructor because it was convenient for all my students and I for the area I cover. Students coming from Christchurch to Poole is ridiculous in itself let alone if you are coming from anywhere further. The Bournemouth test centre is vital!
