Bosley's has confirmed the cancellation of this event and their decision to discontinue their professional affiliation with this trainer. It is heartening to see that concerns regarding humane animal welfare were ultimately acknowledged and respected. We should continue to stay informed about the training philosophies endorsed by the businesses we …
We the undersigned affirm that we do not support Bosley's Pet Foods' endorsement of Brad Pattison's dog training methods as published in his book Synergy (2009), Brad Pattison Unleashed (2010) and Brad Pattison's Puppy Book: A Step-by-Step Guide to the First Year of Training (2012) to be demonstrated with Brad's appearance at the New Westminster Store.
Furthermore, we are opposed to the methods in which he describes the process of how to pin a dog (a minimum of 20 times in a one hour period) and strike a dog with a closed fist in his published works. We believe these methods are in direct conflict with the humane treatment of animals.
With new research showing these types of training methods may have detrimental outcomes, we would like Bosley's Pet Foods to cancel the upcoming appearance at their New Westminster store on July 27/28, 2012, and to end their affiliation with Brad Pattison and his CTEs.
Striking a dog with a closed fist is never okay. Wtf was bosleys thinking?

This guy is a nightmare. I stopped shopping at Bosleys the second I heard they were hosting him. Keep that monster away from our animals!

His training methods are outdated and cruel. Really disappointed in this store for promoting such garbage.

My dog is family and I wont shop where they think hitting animals is acceptable training. Get him out.

Never again. I dont care how convenient the store is I will drive across town instead of giving them a single cent while they support this abuse.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Dogs deserve way better than these violent methods.
