I have a 3 yr old and he loves books .but still is learning to read I wish this program was something he could be apart of .

We need to encourage middle and high school students to read for entertainment as well as information. Programs such as BOOK IT encourage a love of reading that will continue into adulthood.

Yes - open the Book It! program for all school aged kids. I loved this program when I was little and was so disappointed when it didn't continue the older I got. Some kids take longer to get into reading.

I don't know about ALL ages. You want to get people to get to a point where they want to read for the sake of learning. If it's to be used to incentivise adults to learn to read or to learn to read better, you could allow certain schools or teachers to give them to students who are working to improve their skills. My daughter, who enjoyed the Book IT! program, pointed out that teenagers have a bigger appetite and a personal pan doesn't fill them. (This might actually be a good thing since they would have a reason to buy more with their earned pizza.)

I have a 12 year old son with Autism who would not only love this program, but it would give him more incentive to read. I also have a 15 and 17 year old high school students who also need lots of incentive to read. I think opening the book it program to children of all ages would be a Wonderfully AWESOME idea!

I definitely think this should be open to all students. It's a great encouragement to the kids, but you can see the disappointment when a kid who's aged out of the program learns that they aren't eligible anymore. That discourages them. Don't discourage our students!
