Please read this. The 2019 State legislature severely limited forced annexations with HB 347. Why will you need agreements when the legislature passed these bills is my question. https://www.tml.org/DocumentCenter/View/1233/Annexation-Paper-TML-July-2019PDF

I've lived here for 20 years and stand to gain nothing by being annexed. The Denton Sheriff has been more than adequate for law enforcement, and the Argyle fire department has measured up as well. Annexation increases my taxes and adds restrictions to my life with no net gain in benefits.

If the united front of at least 'DH4' falls on tone deaf ears and somehow fails again, I plan to challenge the annexation ruling legally.

There is no benefit to us in this annexation. I request that it does not proceed.

Council members, we have lived on Bonnie Brae since 2001. This is the 3rd annexation attempt in 15 yrs. Our Bonnie Brae community has continually expressed our desire to remain in the ETJ primarily because the city will provide us with no justifiable benefits in exchange for higher taxes and increased restrictions on our freedoms as property owners. I can not tell you the numbers of public meetings, personal meetings with council members, and hours of phone conversations that we have invested in defense of each annexation action by the city. I again appeal to each of you to allow us to remain in the ETJ. While the city may have interests, I believe that our rights and freedoms as property owners should superscede the tax benefits to the city. Thank you for your consideration. Emrie Wilkes 4045 S.
