I have spent my mornings checking the pipes under my own home because I can no longer trust the city to let me see my own meter. The city officials keep ignoring my calls about these locks even though they know a burst pipe in this weather spells disaster for any of us. We are going to keep pushing until they realize that hiding our own water usage from us is not an option.

Seeing the count climb this high proves that I am not the only one frustrated by being locked out of our own water meters. It is a relief to know my neighbors want to keep their pipes safe from freezing just as much as I do.

I had a leak last winter and caught it early because I could see the dial moving. locking these up is just asking for high water bills and property damage. fix it back.
Ridiculous. My meter is already iced over and I cant even check it now. The city is making a massive mistake here.

total waste of our tax money. just let us read our own meters like normal people.
