I've just seen the news and this is thouroughly disgusting.... Who's hands are being greased to let City Airport have the monopoly on airport parking. Not everyone can afford to pay their inflated prices, it's ridiculous that there is no competition allowed. Where or what is the reasoning behind this decision.

Planning should not be interfering with fair competition in business, their actions help create a cartel for those already established businesses. Cost, service and reliablity should be the factors which either keep you in business not Red Tape

Great staff, so handy to City Airport at realistic prices. A disgrace that they are being put out of business and employing people who will now have to sign on or look for other jobs.

Lack of competition means sky high prices at the City Airport. This smells of local government corruption.

There is a real need for competition at Belfast City Airport. Just compare prices to the International.

BOAL is a very reasonably priced alternative to Belfast City Airport's on site parking. Whilst I understand that the planning permission for the IKEA car park was granted to support the retail outlet, surely this is sensible use of surplus space and permission could be granted as such?

City airport parking is extortionate compared with Belfast International or Dublin. Of course an alternative is required.

Travellers need an alternative to the on-airport car parking as it is often crowded and very expensive, particularly compared to Belfast International

This was a very convenient car park, reasonably priced, and there was no need to close it down.

Because of car parking monopoly the customers will suffer thus the airport will not be as popular

I think it is an absolute disgraceful that a company who provide an excellent value for money service is being forced to close. You have my full support, and can be sure that I will under no circumstances be using the airport car park.
