This is such a good value carpark for Belfast City flights. Why should Belfast City airport car park be the other available one to book, more choice is needed so that we can make the decision.

Belfast City car park is a ridiculous price! double that of international. I cant see why Boal has been closed other than to line the pockets of the airport!

There is a definite need for AFFORDABLE car parking at Belfast City Airport.It is very concerning a car park monopoly is created by the actions of the planning committee.

Not only do they now have a monopoly at the airport parking as you state, but worse still is the legality of the Planning Committee, whose Council probably have a financial interest in the takings of the car parks on airport site. Surely your solicitors are looking at the Council/s for fraud or worse, abusing their position in misusing the planning laws to suit the councils pockets?
I have had experience of this sort of thing in England several decades ago, in connection with the Building Trade and prison sentences were handed out to a number of councillors!

Completely ridiculous prices at city airport. There needs to be some competition. It's hardly ethical or justified that a taxi is a more feasible option than parking (even for just one day!) Public transport links are rubbish; unreliable, not frequent enough and slow (not really fulfilling that sustainability or carbon offsetting box). There are few other cities in Europe that have such crappy options. Planners and councilors please break your usual stereotype, surprise us all and have a bit of common sense.

I agree that a monopoly on parking is unethical. The prices charged by Belfast City Airport are disproportionately high, and often finding a parking space is difficult. I would like to see some alternatives available for the public to choose.

I'm paying £62 to park for 4 days at City airport which is a weekly cost for me.
Boal was convenient and great value for money.
Its ridiculous that there is no alternative - Monopolies are unethical and costing the ordinary working person a fortune!

Disgraceful decision! As there is no alternative carpark a part from the one that is linked to the airport we are now simply held to ransome by the Airport Authority, paying charges which are, frankly, outrageous

Disgraceful decision.. I always used this parking Facility as On site carparking is too expensive @ the Airport & is ok for those on business trips etc ...People shud have choice !!!

Used this car park several times as it's a fraction of the cost to the city airport. I think it is an absolute disgrace it has closed and officials need to take a look at themselves when all they were trying to do was offer a fair and competitive service. My travels will now be from international.
