Boals provides a good service at a good value price. Northern Ireland needs every competitive edge it can get, not monopolies.

It's a disgrace to close this car park. I'll never pay a penny to park in the city airport.

It is outragous to close the much needed parking facility at ikea.
I myself use belfast city airport frequently as on airport parking is an utter joke and not fit for purpose, how many ither capital citys main airports car park do you have to walk at least a half mile with no covered walkways ?? Also the charges are a TOTAL RIP OFF, which is why i suspect belfast airport want to get rid if boal car park so they can maintain their cash cow at the expence of the traveller, Totall disgrace...

is there likelyhood that the City Airport would stop making out that Pat Boal has committed an offence, Pat Boal legally applied for planning permission. He has been trying to be treated fairly.

At the International Airport there are several other car park providers, so what makes the City Airport any different?

I resent paying a monopoly for over-priced parking that you have to walk to/from - at least Boal provide a shuttle which means less walking and >70% savings!

The city airport scared of competition because it's cheaper than their rip off charges.

It's unbelievable that Belfast City Council and our local 'Government' should kowtow to some faceless overseas-based airport owner whose intention is simply to maintain a bloated monopoly at the expense of the citizens of Belfast. Democratic decision-making - and simple honesty - demand that competition should be encouraged not stamped out. Boal Airport Parking provide a viable and valuable service and must be allowed to continue.
Fatuous comments by Belfast City Airport's owners that "... Boal's do not pay rates and are therefore not fair competion..." are dishonest. Boals pay IKEA for the use of their car parking space. IKEA pay rates for this parking building to Belfast City. There's nothing at all 'unfair' about this arrangement.
Durkan needs to grow a set !!
