The needs to be competition to the airport or we end up paying astronomical parking fees and nothing will be done

Disgraceful that the government are forcing consumers to pay over the odds for parking

It is complete madness. No room for further on site parking anyhow. I'm a long time user of the Boal car park and I am horrified that they are being closed down. So much for competition!

Cannot understand why you need planning permission to use an already built car park to park cars for different use. Health & Safety maybe but don't prevent new competitive businesses opening.

Have used this before,,Belfast city airport is a complete RIP OFF, Air fares are costly enough, without having to add to Car Parking costs.let common sense prevail!

Free the opportunity for FREE ENTERPRISE. Competition is healthy. People need choices.

Where do the Consumer Council stand on this ? I imagine they should be supporting the competition element

I don't know how boal's can be closed down for no planning permission. When IKEA opened it was granted planning permission for a car park. It is being used as a car park and as far as I'm aware you don't need planning permission for dropping off or lifting someone from a airport.

Disgrace. Free enterprise should outweigh City Airport's monopoly.
