There is a need for Boal. 14 years ago I parked at the City airport's long stay car park for 17 nights and it cost me £72. With no competition they revert back to charging what they like.

Absolutely typical. The politician is backing the bigger business and the small independent businesses are made to suffer, as are the real people who use the facility.
Politicians....... remember who votes for you.... the big business only supplies a few votes, but ALL the people who will now have to pay more for parking will know that YOU are to blame
