i have said this before when ever a business opens that give the people here a good deal how come these people from the likes off the dup want it closed down. it makes you wonder what is behind it when they can see the airport is ripping people off. i have used this parking before and found it very good on price and the workers from the driver who takes you to the airport to the staff who keep a eye on the cars to be very good at what they do and very respectful . i for the love off god do not understand these parties who are suppose to be working for the people seem to be out to cost the public more than they should pay. it makes you wonder what is really going on.

Was a disgrace that BHD and the #dup closed Boals carpark, it was so handy and far better price. The #dup had no luck for it, they too will be out of a job soon.

City Airport Parking is outrageously expensive. If BOAL closes, I will probably start flying from International. When the cost for parking exceeds the cost of the air fare, something is seriously wrong. BOAL is essential!

Cheaper quotes to use pre booked taxi to and from Newtownards than pay for 8 days in long stay car park at Belfast city airport. Unbelievable. Other operators need to be allowed to introduce a fair compatible market.

I have just found out that the Belfast City council are using the pathetic excuse that there is no need for any competition with the extortionately priced on site car parks at the City airport, where they jokingly advertised huge discounts. I have been quoted 50 pounds for 8 days even though the site has less than 3 pounds a day advertised (I have no idea when that applies). The council can justify closing down any competition because they are pressurised by the on site owners who pay them rates to ensure they have a monopoly. I would rather get a taxi both ways and save 20 quid than give the city airport operators any money. This monopoly places the consumer at the mercy of the on site operators who can now charge as much as they think they can fleece out of the public. The reviews are laughable where dozens of seemingly satisfied customers praise the wonderful service etc. It may not have occurred to these people that their charge would have been about half the price if everyone boycotted the 'Official' parks and they were forced to charge a rate that rival operators did before being forced to close.

To refuse to allow alternatives to the City Airport's own car parking arrangements (which already appear to be more expensive than at 'Belfast International' is to give carte blanche to a monopoly situation and has to be queried as regards brown envelopes, proportionality and proper competition.
If perceived 'need' is the only objection then I call foul. Yes, there is a need, a need for fairer pricing and this is what a competitive market would provide. Revise this decision or face ridicule and expose the fraud that is clearly happening here...
