I met with the facility operator to review the current insurance requirements for bike access. We are now drafting a formal proposal to address their safety concerns regarding mixed-use scheduling. Expect a summary of the site requirements once I receive their written feedback.

The growth of this petition has reached the level necessary to request a formal meeting with the Newmarket parks department. I am drafting a proposal now to present our request for dedicated riding hours at the current facility.

would be so nice to actually have somewhere local to ride all winter instead of just sitting at home playing video games.
My son is always complaining that he cant take his bike to the indoor park. really hope this happens soon.
finally some movement on this!! sick of driving all the way to markham just to ride.

it is honestly so frustrating not being allowed at the park when we live right here in newmarket. we need a spot for bmx.

I have been looking for a place like joyride, Markum, for my 5 year old son who excels in bike riding. I’d love to see one open in Newmarket for Barrie!!!
