BOC's music is unique and if it's not rock and roll then I don't know what is.
Maybe they haven't been as commercially accepted as other bands, but that doesn't lessen the power and effect that they're music has had over the years. This band is long overdue to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. It's sad if they don't go in very soon.

There was Black Sabboth, Led Zepplin and Blue Oyter cult, That was it for the metal bands in the early 70s

I respectfully request you induct Blue Oyster Cult into the RRHOF. I could sit here and list all the ways they have influenced R&R but that's YOUR JOB and you all should already know this. If not perhaps you all should start reading up and talking to 'the people'. You know, 'the people' who purchase records and go to concerts and who are STILL going to BOC concerts to this day. They've been on tour for 45 years for heavens sake. How many bands can make that claim? They should have been inducted AGES AGO! Sincerely, Jana Lalewicz

Yes, B.O.C should have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame years ago! !! That they have not yet been inducted is a travesty. They are the fathers of American metal, for crying out loud. Eric Bloom is among the greatest singers and top (3) sexiest, most energetic rock and roll frontmen, period. Buck Dharma is without a doubt one of the top (5) greatest guitar players, period. The late great Alan Lanier and the phenomenal Bouchard brothers complete the circle of this incredible yet criminally underrated band. Less deserving artists that have nothing to do with Rock and Roll have been inducted and that is just sad.

Its time to nomination and induct Blue Oyster Cult into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Its ridiculous that they arent in yet, and Some Say they shouldve been inducted years ago. They made their mark in the music industry where their music is relevant today and influence a ton of bands and they still make appearances. Blue Oyster Cult for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame
