The Blue Goose Bridge located in Gibsland, Louisiana has been out of service for over one (1) year. Access to the Blue Goose Bride is essential when the Kansas City Southern (KCS) Railroad freight train has blocked our main crossing point to enter and exit the Town of Gibsland. Especially when there is a life threatening emergency requiring law enforcement, fire rescue, or an ambulance to quickly reach a Gibsland resident with critical needs.

Citizens of Gibsland would like for the bridge to be available for use. We support the efforts of Gibsland Town Council Representatives to work with KSC. In order for KCS to continue working collaboratively with the Town Council, we are asking all Town of Gibsland residents to rally together and sign this petition of support for KCS to repair the Blue Goose Bridge as planned in 2021.
