BLOOM EDUCATION - BRIGHTON COLLEGE PARENT PETITION - TERM 3 SCHOOL FEES 2020

Fully support the request to consider reduction in Term 3 fees. Please note I am not suggesting any salary cuts to any staff. There are other appropriation components i.e. (1) ignoring profit margins & sunk costs and (2) considering savings on other operational facilities related costs avoided. This would support parents who are already under pay cut. More importantly, the reduction is not sought on charitable or humanitarian grounds. Its a simple ask to commensurate school fees with school's offering to support parents who are equally non-erring as the school is. It's a right thing to do from a reputed education group like Bloom. They should ask themselves that, are the students getting "the Life at Brighton" for which the fees were agreed to be paid. If no, please do the needful. Thankyou for resorting to fair practices, a must for an educational institution.

How could it be same invoice? Full time education compared to just 4~5 video materials ? With all due respect, I'd like you to discount on fees 50%. That's because every parent has been doing their best for the distance education instead of teachers. That's why there are no spare time for parents.

Unfair to invoice full fee for home schooling! Alkubairat refunded 50percent fee! Other schools same! Even if BCAD forces full fee now- they will lose a lot of admissions for next year as lot of kids/parents will move to other more compassionate institutions!

All other school will return about 15-20%. It’s reasonable

I want a discount

I am in favor of the fee reduction as due to COVID i have lost my job and i am now finding it difficult to find another job in present market situation.

In regards to the current situation faced by the parents it would mean a lot of the schools can lower the fees. We are not asking for lowering the salaries of the teachers and staff , just consider lowering the fees by the amount of expenses paid for utilities

Would it be really helpful if school could reduce part of the fees for the third term due to current situation.

With a massive pay cut, I would appreciate if you can please refund at least 20%. The response we got from Bloom’s CEO was very disappointing.

We like I suspect many have received salary cuts way in excess of 20%. Other schools are showing loyalty to the parents that have supported this school and organisation. If they do not apply any discount then the only way to respond is as any client would do that wasn’t receiving the service then take our business elsewhere we are starting to appply to other schools now, if the 400 having already signed this petition did that then.......

This is only fair. We should be paying exactly for what we get. BLOOM now is not the time to be making profit on parents that are really struggling, have a heart and be a responsible company.

Please for 20% discount term 3 as did other school like Aldar to keep the trust In the school and as we all in this together

I think with running costs cut, parents are entitled for at least 20% refund

BCAD looks like you have a problem, first day and you have 400 upset parents. Solution for you; Give a bit back in this time of need and hardship for everyone. You are running a business and all you have to do is take 20 pct reduction from your fees for 1 term. Think of the happy parents when you offer that. Then you move on with your business which I assume can absorb a 20 pct fee reduction for one term! You made a mistake sending the email the other day especially in the tone it was written, mistakes happen but you have a chance to rectify them.
