Like many others in the area, we moved here for the peace and quiet. There's lots of land available that's not adjacent to residential areas. This is not an appropriate location for a wolf/dog sanctuary.

Please do not allow this in our neighborhood! It will eliminate the wildlife we all love and the peace and quiet will be gone! Bad for property values.

I have seen many elk migrating in this area that will end with tall fences.

There is much vacant land available in Colorado which is not located between populated residential neighborhoods.

We have lived a half mile from a dog pound. The noise was constant, 24/7.

I think it is a worthy cause, just not the right location. It should be further from two subdivisions in addition to Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts.

Hello Neighbors - unfortunately you have not been provided with correct information on a number of issues. I am the Executive Director of W.O.L.F., having taken over the leadership of the organization during the High Park Fire of 2012. The issues of W.O.L.F. in Rist Canyon were with prior management; the W.O.L.F. of today is a very different operation than four years ago. W.O.L.F. will be working with the County and State to comply with regulations and permitting. Our goal is to be a positive addition to the community and be an organization that neighbors will be proud of. We respect the community and the environment and plan to have minimal impact on both. I think this is not a good location for a facility like they propose...buy some forest state land with no homes around and I'll gladly support that...

This Wolf sanctuary should not be located in a populated area. There is land available that can be used to support this project without interfering with the peace and quiet of the Highlands. The peace, quiet and the wild life that visit the Highlands is why we moved here from Arizona.

The migration pattern will be greatly disturbed from movement from the south to the north (crossing CO74E to the north and back. Deer, elk, moose and turkey movement fro the south of CO74E to the north will be blocked by the fencing along CO74E. This will eliminate the movement of deer, elk, moose and turkeys from entering the Red Feather Highlands area. You can put your cameras away since the wild life will be gone the the Highlands.

I believe in their mission. However, the sanctuary should not be in or close to established residential dwellings and/or housing developments. The Rist Canyon neighborhood had/has issues and I don't see anything that indicates solutions have been implemented. Let's for once learn from history.

We have researched the history of this organization in public records and read public testimony from their neighbors. The size of the commercial operation they are proposing is not appropriate use for the land in this area due to the residential nature of the surrounding vicinity. Limited resources (fire, EMS, law enforcement) are available to deal with the increased traffic in our area.
