"Blind Intersection" in School Zone is a Death Trap!

It's time to get this corrected.

I drive by this intersection at least three times a week and am very concerned about the safety of children crossing. The house is practically on Queen Street. Please have some thing done soon!

I live on pond and have to cross this intersection often. Both side of queen have blind spots for the drives pulling on to queen street.

100%! I was literally speaking about this intersection just a few nights ago. That house needs to go!

Agreed. Removal needs to be a priority. Other similar blind intersections need to be considered, such as Kensington Rd. & Park St. & Belmont Rd.

I agree, this intersection is a concern. There are lots like it, with houses crowded up next to a tight turn. The difference here, I think, is how close it is to a high traffic (and possibly higher speed for many drivers) thoroughfare like Queen Street. Still think expropriation and forced demolition/moving the building should be a last resort, hopefully the owners are adequately compensated. In the end, though, we have to do what is safest for residents.

YES! I had a car accident myself at that same corner!

I have seen a few near misses at this intersection and agree it is dangerous especially when kids are involved!

Visibility is nil at this intersection

i go to queen Charlotte and when we cross there its really hard to get by cause of all the cars, it would be great to have sidewalks there

i hope they start to make some changes fast for the safety of the children and everyone else!

It is difficult to see traffic approaching from the north without pulling out across the crosswalk, so that makes the corner unsafe for pedestrians. With the new apt building under construction, the intersection will be much busier given that the entrance will be on Pond St.

I myself have used that intersection and fibd it hard to see whats coming when tryibg to pull out into traffic.... somethibg needs to be done

Please be careful, Reji! Whatever happened to "Look both ways, twice"? Pedestrians are Priority!

It is very busy also with the doctors offices etc there is more traffic pulling out of this area

I hope something is done for the safety of the school children .I am sure a solution will be found aftet discussing the concern

This intersection has been unsafe for years. Get it fixed before someone is killed...
