The mission of The Black Professional Pharmacy Student Organization is to nurture and provide pharmacy education of excellent quality to African American graduate and professional students. Coupled with personal development, strong social and professional networking, and in service to the community at large, we want our members to make a lasting impression in the professional realm of pharmacy upon graduation.
The institutional gatekeepers have been ignoring our needs for too long but this tidal wave of support proves they cannot hide from us anymore. We are forcing them to recognize the Black excellence in our halls and the fight for real resources is just getting started.

I'm the Interim Dean of the SCP. I support the approval of this organization. The goals of the organization are outstanding, and it will serve to empower students and the community that they reach out to.

This is exactly what the school needs right now. Glad to see some initiative finally happening.
