Black History Month has been very popular for a while now however it is very contradicting of all the civil rights movements we have been through. We ask to be treated as equal and it doesn't make sense for us to separate ourselves. Black History month should no longer continue however these significant events need to be incorporated into the newest text books along with other historic events.

I am currently drafting a formal proposal to present to the local school board regarding the full integration of these historical events into the standard curriculum. This transition requires a shift in how we approach educational programming and I will update you once the board confirms a time to discuss these changes.

Finally someone said it. History is history. Stop the division and start teaching real facts in the classroom instead of segregating months.
it makes no sense anymore. just put it in the history books for everyone to learn all year long. simple as that.

Totally agree. We need to stop looking at everything through a racial lens if we ever actually want to move forward as one country.
