It's a shame it's not being used. What a gorgeous space.

Not all community arts engagement problems have solutions, but this one does. It would be a shame to see the city overlook this opportunity.

I remember performing at the strand theater when I was just a little kid. More people should have memories of this building.

This should absolutely happen. I've performed at the Strand twice (Aida and Charlie Baker's victory lap) and the space deserves to be USED! Support Boston Culture. Support the arts.

Boston needs venues like this for local artists to show their work in a reasonably sized, versatile venue. This plan is well researched and thought out.

We need to keep businesses open in the hood. They taking everything away

The arts in Boston need more spaces in more diverse locales like this. 2 years ago when this was first proposed and there were great schools like the Conservatory Lab churning out students who could make beautiful music, this would be perfect. But the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, and the second best time is today.

Bring a black box to this space to allow more opportunities for local performers to gain valuable exposure!

I remember going to the Strand for field trips when I was in BPS. Keep the theatre alive, keep the neighborhood alive, the city has been interesting because of the balance of education and wealth with working class community in close proximity to each other. Raise the rents and gentrify you turn the city into a boring, bland place.

The city and in particular Dorchester is in need of performance space. This is a no brainer.

I no longer live in Boston, however I remember the theater well. I really hope you are able to open up Black Box.

Allow for the Strand Theater Black box project- let this once again be an artist pulse in Dorchester.
